How to watch, listen, and read with Jellyfin

Jellyfin is an app that looks and works like Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Spotify, Audible, or other streaming apps. Our library is free and contains content you will not find on platforms. We can add anything to the library, and no company or government can remove it. Own your media instead of paying subscriptions every month for the rest of your life hoping they won't remove what you like.

You can watch all the movies, listen to audiobooks and music, view pictures, and read any books at https://ravergram.club/jellyfin or https://ravergram.club/jellyfin-vue. For the best experience on all your devices such as your TV, install the app and enter the server https://ravergram.club/jellyfin in the setup. You can quick connect (without entering password) to Jellyfin on your TV if you have the mobile app installed.

Your account credentials are the same as your main Ravergram account that you use to log into the portal, Nextcloud, and others. Ask me if you have any trouble logging in since I have not created a Jellyfin account for everybody.

Other ways to consume the media

Jellyfin is an all purpose player. Nextcloud also allows you to directly consume most of the media. However, I find some apps better suited for the type of content. From your Nextcloud app on any device, you can sync/download the content to your device and view it in another app. I am most familiar with Linux and Android compatible apps. Here is a little demo. Here are recommendations:

Android

• Findroid is an alternative to the Jellyfin app that allows you to download to device and play within the app.
• Audiobooks are organized, heard, and tracked with Voice.
• Videos and music play with VLC player.
• Music plays with Auxio.
• Ebooks can be read with Librera. You can listen to any ebooks with SherpaTTS installed.

IOS apps I know of:

• Play audio and video with VLC media player.
• Read ebooks with Apple Books.
• Listen to audiobooks with LibriVox.

How to add content with Nextcloud

Media on Nextcloud can be viewed and streamed directly from Nextcloud, but consuming is not as full featured as Jellyfin.

If you want to upload media to be consumed in Jellyfin, move/upload/copy it to the right folder in mediashare. Soon after uploading to this folder in Nextcloud, it should be visible in Jellyfin app.

Please don't upload junk. Try to clean up the naming and metadata tags before uploading. Jellyfin will automatically look up metadata and images for media and allow you to change metadata. To delete files, ask me to do so.

What you will find here

The library contains all kinds of media that different people have added. Some is censored on platforms controlled by those who wish to stay in power over us. I have added much content I hope to view someday. I want to be challenged and look at views I don't agree with. If you want my take on any of it, please chat me up to discuss whatever I know about.

These services are reserved for my friends and family.

• If you want to share anything in the library with somebody else, create a share link from Nextcloud files. You can set expiration date, password, and revoke the shares. Anybody can stream or download from a web browser with a link you create.

• Do not share your account credentials with anyone. Ask me to create an account for someone else.

• Do not upload media that you would not share with adult friends and family.
